Conferance objectives

• Providing a forum for chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear security stakeholders to discuss chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear security initiatives, successes, challenges and next steps to address the other security gaps.
• Identifying the available opportunities for strengthening the existing rules and regulations to secure chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, know-how, sensitive information and infrastructures that could be misused.
• Understanding the weakness points in universities, private and governmental sectors to start coordination among them to reduce the risks of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear material.
• Building national capacities to develop standardize and apply best chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear security practices related to the production, storage and transportation of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials as well as waste treatment issues.
• Building and developing well trained national capacities able to use the modern and advanced equipment for accurate detection of the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials at border ports and inside Iraq to prevent any expected misuse.
• Promoting the sustainability of efforts to enhance chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear security in Iraq.
